Windows 10 announced: skips Windows 9 because, well, make up your own reason
Microsoft has announced Windows 10, the upgrade to Windows 8. No wait. It's a whole new OS!

Windows 9 seemed just too easy. So while others skip number 13 or might hang onto lucky number 8 (8.1, 8.2 etc), Microsoft has gone straight to Windows 10 for its new and improved operating system. 

The web is all abuzz with the news so we thought we'd find the best analysis elsewhere (we're busy with getting a magazine out the door). Here's our top three commentaries:
