EBOS on board as investor relations app spices up company reporting

Healthcare products supplier EBOS is putting a splash of innovation into the often dreary world of company reporting with an iPad app to announce its half year result and other news.

The app lets users see the EBOS’ latest announcements on the Australian Securities Exchange or the NZX, with the ability to switch between share price feeds on the two exchanges.

It also has a library of documents including results presentations, profit announcements and annual reports and a calendar of key financial sector events. Content can be viewed online or offline.

The app will be especially useful for market analysts, shareholders and anyone interested in following the company, says managing Director Mark Waller. “Now EBOS is dual listed on the ASX and NZX there are analysts and others in Australia who are keenly interested in the company’s performance,” he says.

The company used EBOS Investor Relations to release its result for the half year to 31 December 2013 soon after it was published on the NZX and ASX.

The free app was made by Auckland-headquartered Insight Creative. Managing director Mike Tisdall is touting the offering for other Kiwi companies that are dual listed or have an offshore investor base.

“We expect more New Zealand companies to adopt this technology this year.

“People on the move can be notified and access company announcements wherever they are. The app cuts through the clutter and ensures those that need to know can be immediately informed.”

EBOS listed on the ASX last December but retains a primary listing on the NZX, where it listed in 1960.
