Growing up surrounded by creative parents and siblings, Wellington-based interior designer Charlotte Minty's path was always clear...
My first job was... working at Palmers Garden World.
And now the title on my business card is... Interior Designer at Charlotte Minty Interior Design
My day starts with... walking straight into the office with my breakfast in hand.
And ends with... in bed, reading a few chapters of the latest book.
And in between, I ... design, research, daydream, phone calls and emails, source materials, chase quotes, visit clients, exercise, call my Mum, among many other things that keep my days varied and interesting.
My first artistic memory is... I was around a creative mother, an architect father and two older creative siblings so the artistic environment has always surrounded me. Myself personally, every story I wrote in primary school had a picture or a print alongside it.
If I wasn't doing this, I'd ... be a photographer.
The kinds of projects I’m most drawn to are…Working alongside great clients and something that I can make a difference to.
One day I’d love to work on… a boutique hotel.
One design trend I expect to see more of in 2014 is… mixing styles and influences.
My work in three words is...simple, balanced and functional.
