In the rebrand from Snowball Effect to Snowball, the online investment platform is now offering more than what traditional spaces offer.

Kiwis can now invest in hard-to-reach funds with the rebrand of Snowball.

Investing in certain funds was previously difficult for Kiwis who were faced with minimum investment requirements and complex paperwork, but Snowball is now removing those barriers with its newly rebranded platform.

Snowball is opening up a mix of funds, including private equity, private credit and long-short equity funds.

Co-founder and Managing Director of Snowball, Simeon Burnett says that giving Kiwis the option to invest gives them the opportunity to create that well-constructed portfolio that can give Kiwis a plethora of return, increased diversification and more.

“Having a well-diversified investment portfolio is critical to growing wealth, however accessing the optimal set of assets to properly diversify a portfolio can be very difficult in New Zealand,” says Burnett.

With this, Snowball has rebranded to become that all-in-one platform.

Since being founded in 2014, the platform has raised over $220 million from its 55,000 investors.

A high growth business within Snowball’s portfolio recently delivered a 26 times return to investors whilst another delivered a six times return on money invested from dividends alone.
