The prestigious Sustainable Business Awards is back for 2023, with entries now open to all organisations and individuals in Aotearoa.
Celebrating its 21st year, the longest-running sustainability awards is all about recognising businesses, local government bodies, social enterprises and individuals in their success towards sustainability.
“These awards play a hugely valuable role in progressing sustainable business nationally by celebrating the achievements of those really transforming the way business is done,” Rachel Brown ONZM, CEO of the Sustainable Business Network.
“It’s been another year of disruptions. Covid-19 continues to impact our lives and now floods have added to the storm. Disruptions create innovation. These individuals and organisations must be held up and celebrated to encourage more to do the same.”
Brown says businesses and individuals from all across the sustainability spectrum of innovation to technology to Te Ao Māori should enter.
For the 2023 Sustainable Business Awards, the categories are:
- Sustainability Superstar
- Communicating for Impact

A spokesperson from Karma Drinks, the Supreme Award winner of 2022 says winning the award was an “absolute career highlight”.
“It felt like genuine recognition of how hard our business works to achieve sustainability across every aspect of what we do, and it meant the world to have been awarded and honoured for it.”
