Big goals, big results: The winners of the Deloitte Top 200 Awards

The theme of this year’s event was “the spirit of resilience.” Held at Auckland’s Spark Arena, the big winner of the evening was the a2 Milk Company, taking home the title of the Deloitte & Marsh 2017 Company of the Year.

Deloitte and Orbit World Travel Chief Executive of the Year, Simon Moutter from Spark, impressed the judges with his efforts to help transform Spark into a digital services business.

Judge and independent director Sandy Maier said it was refreshing to see an emphasis on disruption as a commonality among the winners. “This reminded us that there is innovation, disruption and tough competition among even our largest corporates.’

The awards were established in 1990 to recognise outstanding individual, team and management performances in New Zealand’s largest companies and trading organisations.
