Someone in the Kiwi startup scene will take their place at Startup Tel Aviv, held during September’s DLD Tel Aviv Digital Conference involving hundreds of startups, VCs, angel investors and multinationals.
The Embassy of Israel has joined with Wellington City Council, Grow Wellington, Creative HQ, ATEED and Callaghan Innovation to offer the opportunity to a young Kiwi entrepreneur.
To win the trip to Tel Aviv, entrants upload a 30 second YouTube or Vimeo clip to the website, spelling out why they should win.
The videos will be shared on social media and shouldn’t be commercials that explain how the startup’s product works, the organisations say.
Entrants also fill out an application form. Those shortlisted will present to a panel of judges about their startup.
Entrants must be aged between 23 and 35 and their startup should be focused on security, mobile, web or another area of ICT. The person needs to be a founding company member.
Submissions close on 18 June with shortlisted applicants decided on 27 June.
