Logitech G325 headset review: comfort, connection and colour

What I love most about the G325:

  1. It is insanely comfortable: memory foam earpieces and headband for the win
  2. It is easy to use: turn it on and connect via Bluetooth or USB and away you go
  3. It comes in purple

The Logitech G325 gaming headset had me sold from the minute I saw the box.

The Logitech G325 comes in a lovely purple colour.

First of all, it’s purple, which is fun and vibrant. It also matched what I was wearing that day (priorities, right?)

But perhaps even better than the colour was what came when I put the headset on.

Just when I thought Logitech’s headphones couldn’t get any more comfortable, along came the G325.

Memory foam for the win

Last year’s Astro A20X was already the most comfortable thing I’ve ever worn on my head – so how the G325 manages to beat that is beyond me.

Both the earpieces and the head band are made with memory foam. This allows it to mould around your head and ears without causing any of the undue pressure or discomfort that I so often find with headsets.

So far, I have worn this headset for many hours – at the office, out walking and while gaming.

It feels crazy to say that, if not for the audio pouring into my ears, I would probably forget I was wearing them.

Audio in HD

Using the G325 for gaming reminds me of when we upgraded my computer a couple of years ago. I went from playing highly pixellated games to seeing them in HD.

Having relied on my monitor computer audio while gaming, the headset makes me feel like I can hear in HD.

“I finally see what you mean when you say you can hear enemies approaching,” I told my fiance.

We jumped online to play Helldivers with some friends. Goodbye desk mic – with the G325 I could hear and chat with the group using the inbuilt microphone.

Buttons on the left ear piece allow you to mute the microphone, adjust the volume, turn the headset on and off and toggle Bluetooth.

A perfect middle ground

I love that the headset is wireless, meaning I can nip to kitchen for a snack between games without having to miss out on any of online chatter.

The buttons on the back of the left ear piece allow you to mute the microphone, adjust the volume, turn the headset on and off and toggle Bluetooth.

The battery life is said to last 24+ hours – I got my headset nearly a month ago and haven’t had to charge it yet, despite using it in a variety of settings.

My previous headset experience includes House of Marley Positive Vibration 2 (bought for $65 in 2021) which I use exclusively for the gym and the Astro A20X ($399.95).

Retailing at $229.95, the G325 feels to me like a perfect middle ground. Of the lot, it’s the most comfortable, compact, and versatile, doing everything I need it to without any additional gadgets or tech know-how needed.

Oh and did I mention it comes in purple?
