An immersive Van Gogh experience is coming to NZ shores

Following the sell out Digital Nights show at Wellington’s waterfront this year, a full scale version titled Van Gogh Alive will be returning to New Zealand for 2021.

For over a century, the masterpieces of renowned artist Van Gogh have been enjoyed worldwide, but never like this. Thanks to Grande Experiences, AKA Australia and Live Nation, for a limited time only, audiences will have the opportunity to experience Gogh’s artistry and truly immerse themselves in his world. The experience breaks the norm of tiptoeing around an art gallery and instead boasts a symphony of light, colour, sound, and fragrance for the whole family to appreciate.

Ensuring safety, the experience allows for the artwork to be viewed from all angles, while remaining contact-free and naturally socially distanced. For many, the greatest pleasure will lie in simply standing still and indulging all the senses.

“Over 6 million people around the world have experienced this incredibly immersive experience, including sold-out seasons across Australia. We can’t wait to share the magic of Van Gogh with Kiwis in 2021” says Live Nation NZ marketing director, Mark Kneebone.

Van Gogh Alive’s media partner is Sky NZ who will provide Sky customers with presale tickets from Monday 23 November. Sky’s chief creative officer, Steve Bayliss, says art and entertainment are at the heart of Sky which makes the partnership ideal.

“To be part of the Van Gogh Alive installation gives our customers and all art lovers the chance to feel more and truly immerse themselves in a creative, inspiring experience.”

For Vodafone customers, tickets to the opening 10 days of Van Gogh Alive in each location can be bought during the Vodafone presale starting 12pm Thursday 19 November. Go to vodafone.co.nz/events.

Live Nation and Ticketmaster Presale Tickets will go on sale at 11 am on Monday 23rd November with general tickets going on sale on Wednesday 25th November at 11 am from Ticketmaster.
