‘Sip & Scratch – The New Zealand Craft Beer Poster’ is a whimsicaly illustrated map of NZ as an A2 poster with wee gold foil dots you scratch off as you (responsibly) different all the craft beer our nation has to offer.

“With the resurgence in good design associated with beers – especially Garage Project – we didn’t see the same effort going into a well-designed resource to bring it all together, so we teamed up with an illustrator buddy Brett King and created Sip & Scratch,” says Stephen McCarthy of Christchurch-based design agency McCarthy.

“We wanted to represent good design with good beer and loosely the map hints at icons from the regions around the country and marrying up breweries along the way. The hardest part is there’s so many new breweries popping up every month and we knew at the time of printing we’d probably be a tad out-of-date, so we’re keeping updating the database for version 2 if this one goes well.”
