This series of skull shell art is to die for.
Carved and painted with oil on raw, gold-lip and black-lip mother of pearl, these bas-relief skull shells are part of New Jersey-based artist Gregory Halili’s latest works.
The artist grew up in the Philippines and has channelled his cherished memories of the wildlife and nature into his art. The large, iridescent mother of pearl shells are sourced from the country’s shores.
