Kiwi founded global footwear brand Allbirds has announced its first New Zealand store. The sustainable value brand will settle into its new nest in Auckland’s Britomart this August.
The brand operates solely online for its Kiwi customers but does have physical locations internationally. Now its customers can try on and take home their own runners, loungers or sandals.
The Britomart precinct is home to many high-end brands, with the new Allbirds store set to be housed in the pervious Lululemon location, which has now positioned itself on Queen Street.
Founded and led by Tim Brown and co-founder Joey Zwillinger from their Silicon Valley headquarters, the five-year-old footwear brand has been dubbed as having ‘the world’s most comfortable shoe’ and is known for its beautiful and innovative design, comfort and world-leading sustainable credentials.
The new store has not been given a solid open date, but is expected to welcome people with open arms from this August.
