Kiwi tech start-up The Market NZ is going global

Online marketplace The Market NZ is an Etsy-style ecommerce website which connects shoppers with “creators” who produce craft items, artworks, food and more.

It will now be offering its products to retailers on a wholesale basis, and will also offer flat-rate shipping globally.

General manager Toyah Attwell says the site’s mission is to promote and nurture grassroots creative talent. It was launched in October 2013.

“Offering international shipping and wholesale are hugely important  steps towards our ultimate vision for The Market NZ; becoming a brand synonymous with New Zealand’s creative industry. We want to be the first place that new talent looks to grow, and be trusted to deliver the best that they have to offer to customers worldwide.”
