Chiasma is bringing the health industry together in an event designed to boost the sector’s global prospects.

The Health Entrepreneurship Forum at the end of the month will be a gathering of students, research institutes, startups, investors, government representatives and the Patent Attorneys Association together to grow the health industry.

Guest speaker Peter Tyler is the senior principal scientist at the Ferrier Institute, formerly the Carbohydrate Chemistry team at Callaghan Innovation.

He’ll share his experience of commercialising in that team and the subsequent creation of Callaghan’s carbohydrate chemistry unit GlycoSyn. Tyler has been recognised as a distinguished scientist at Callaghan Innovation and the former IRL for design and synthesis of biologically-active carbohydrate molecules.

Lukas Stoecklein from the startup Swibo will give a technology demonstration of the company’s balance board system.

It connects to a smartphone to track and display balance performance and a includes a suite of games custom made for the balance board controller that are designed to motivate users.
