Kiwi success story ezyVet set to triple employee headcount with new Auckland HQ

Veterinary practice management software company ezyVet is currently in the process of opening its swanky new headquarters in central Auckland. Aside from stunning harbour views, the space will contain its own gym, rooftop terrace, recreational area and suitably, will be pet-friendly. The company is hoping its new office will see employee numbers double from 130 to 500 over the coming three years.

Located in Freemans Bay, the headquarters will be almost 3,000 square metres in space and is set to be one of Auckland’s most stunning office locations. In recent times, the successful Kiwi startup has grown into a global industry leader with offices in Auckland, Dallas, and London. Global demand for ezyVet’s enterprise SaaS solution, which changes the way veterinary businesses operate, has seen the company grow by triple digits.

ezyVet chief financial officer Pete Brown says the company are actively seeking New Zealand and international talent to help meet the growing demand.

“Prime commercial space in downtown Auckland doesn’t come cheap. We are cloud-based, so few customers actually visit our offices, but to recruit top talent in a people-led business this investment was a no brainer.”

ezyVet CEO and founder Hadleigh Bognuda says the company has become a genuine Kiwi success story, thanks to the incredible team behind it.

“We have something truly special happening at ezyVet. The new space will help us evolve to better meet the demands of an increasingly flexible and agile workforce. It is also a return to the company’s K Road roots, which is neat,” he says.

The head office’s core teams include product and engineering, sales and marketing, implementation and support, which are all set to move into the new space by early 2021. Auckland developers responsible for the project, Mike and Dave Mahoney of Tawera Group, are ensuring that ezyVets design requirements are met with high standards.

“The feature I love the most from an architectural perspective is the central staircase, which will be used as a focal meeting point for the team. The open rooftop deck is great too. ezyVet directors were keen to make a statement and the architect has harnessed that notion in this design, simple elements performed well,” says Mike.
