Google Arabia used a camel as a street view car

Using a slightly modified Trekker camera pack mounted to the hump of a camel, Google was able to cqapture some amazing images of the Liwa Desert in the United Arab Emirates.

Google uses the Trekker camera on terrain that cars can’t handle. Interestingly, this is the first time the camera has been carried by an animal as this job is usually reserved for a human.

Google has similarly mapped out the Grand Canyon and the Northlands of Canada.
