BLUNT named first B Corp certified umbrella brand

After a two-and-a-half year process, BLUNT officially joins the B Corp club, becoming the first umbrella brand to receive the certification.

There are over 8,500 B Corp certified companies around the world, over 650 are from Australia and New Zealand, and BLUNT is the next to join, becoming the first for the umbrella industry.

Headed by B Lab, the B Corp certification is a movement that encourages the business world to transform the global economy to benefit people, communities, and the planet.

“B Corp is the most broadly recognised and respected measure for validating our efforts at BLUNT for being a force for good in the world. We are extremely proud to join the exclusive group for businesses in the B Corp community, who have also gone through the extensive process of proving their credentials as responsible organisations,” says Greig Brebner, Founder of BLUNT.

He adds that BLUNT as a brand has always been different in its approach to consumerism, focusing on strong relationships with people and their products, which resulted in creating umbrellas that are grounded on durability and repairability.
