Research and data insights agency TRA has won Best Innovation Programme at the AFR BOSS Most Innovative Companies Awards, at a virtual ceremony last week. The agency also ranked 5th in the highly competitive Media and Marketing list.
TRA also won the award back in 2018 and was ranked 28th out of 1,000 nominations. Winning the award confirms the agency as a ground-breaking industry leader, committed to developing innovative approaches to help organisations better understand their customers and solve complex problems.
Published by the Australian Financial Review and Boss Magazine, the prestigious annual list is formed after a rigorous assessment process by a panel of industry expert judges. The assessment measures the significance and impacts the innovation has had over the past two years, with judges looking out for innovation culture, strategy, resources, and process.
TRA’s managing director Andrew Lewis says the team are honoured to win Best Innovation Programme for a second time and to be recognised as one of the most innnovative companies in Australia and New Zealand.
“It’s a testament to the creative thinking of our team, our dedication to helping brands improve the lives of their customers, and our ground-breaking approach to research.”
The ranking recognises TRA’s Covid-19 Data Visualisation Tool, which was designed, built, and launched while New Zealand was in Level 4 Lockdown. The tool helped organisations make sense of Australasian digital conversion in real-time.
Through AI technology, originally developed for TRA’s social media platform Zavy, the tool helped marketers read, categorise and measure the emotions and sentiment of all the news and public social media comments about Covid-19. This real-time information helped organisations stay on top of the conversation, understand how they could help, and empowered them to act. Now out of Lockdown, the tool has been transformed to Radar, and is now available as part of Zavy.
