App review: Everest is your goal sherpa

If you’re an overachiever who’s always working towards the next milestone, or you’d like to become one, Everest is the app to help you scale new heights.

The app is evidence that the most useful ideas are often the simplest. Once your create your first goal, or Everest, you can either keep it to yourself or share it for a bit of accountability.

Some of the suggested aims are to run your first 5km (how did it know?); build your first website; start a business and learn to cook 10 healthy meals.

If you do want to be nagged/encouraged into achieving your goal, you can share it among a dream team of three people from among your email or Facebook contacts.

The app then asks you to record a step a day towards climbing that personal mountain and lets you track your progress. In the community section, you can follow your friends to help them get things done and see other public missions to get inspiration.

The iOS app is free, well designed and easy to use, which should overcome the first hurdle which is committing to daily use.
