Best Design Awards 2015 tonight!

We pick some more of our favourite finalists ahead of the awards tonight.

The competition, an annual showcase of excellence in graphic, spatial, product and interactive design, has been run by the Designers Institute of New Zealand since 1988.

With 514 finalists, there are too many to list in this space, so here are Idealog’s favourite finalists (this week) from the categories of graphic, interactive, product and spatial, sans descriptions.

Feast your eyes.

Other categories, such as Nga Aho (best indigenous designs - see our coverage here), Best Effect (for designs that contributed most to their clients’ bottom lines - see here) and the Public Good (a category for designs that worked for the benefit of the community) are also included in the competition.

Idealog has been covering the most interesting people, businesses and issues from the fields of innovation, design, technology and urban development for over 12 years. And we're asking for your support so we can keep telling those stories, inspire more entrepreneurs to start their own businesses and keep pushing New Zealand forward. Give over $5 a month and you will not only be supporting New Zealand innovation, but you’ll also receive a print subscription and a copy of the new book by David Downs and Dr. Michelle Dickinson, No. 8 Recharged (while stocks last).
