Kiwi drink company’s wildlife conservation mission boosted through international partnership
Renowned to many young Kiwi drinkers, RTD brand Part Time Rangers is loved for many reasons. Not only are the drinks made from natural ingredients, but they also support wildlife conservation and environmental preservation projects. Following tremendous success in New Zealand, the brand has recently announced that it has been purchased by global spirits company Brown-Forman Corporation, on the basis that the Part-Time Rangers’ mission will continue to grow.
Founded by brothers William and Oliver Deane in their family kitchen in 2018, Part Time Rangers were created to offer consumers a low sugar, low calorie alcoholic drink, while more importantly, supporting organisations that make a real difference to wildlife and the environment. With a range of six RTD’s, a portion of profits for each are donated to animal conservation initiatives across the globe.
Based in Kentucky, USA, Brown-Forman is a 150-year-old global spirits company housing fine quality spirit brands like Jack Daniel’s, Finlandia, Woodford Reserve, and el Jimador.
William and Oliver say the agreement to be purchased by Brown-Forman is a validation of the brand’s mission and the support of the Part Timer Ranger community.
“When we started Part Time Rangers from our family kitchen two years ago, we hoped that there was a community out there that shared our passion for good-tasting natural drinks that helped make the planet a better place.
“Brown-Forman is a strong supporter of the brand and what we’re trying to achieve. Their ownership and expertise will allow us to do much more, much sooner and we’re really excited about what that means for our community.”
Selling their brand on was not an easy decision for the Deane brothers and was a process that took many months. The duo also visited Brown Forman in Kentucky to be sure they understood and valued the mission and direction of Part Time Rangers.
“Our message to our amazing community of Part Time Rangers is simple: we’re committed with our new owner’s support to making our community and its work stronger and better than ever before.”
