A bit of Wellington coming to Auckland’s waterfront

You have heard of a pop up bar, but what about a pop up city? Positively Wellington Tourism is bringing a slice of the capital to Auckland for all the foodies out there.

Positively Wellington Tourism is targeting Auckland’s food lovers, hoping they choose the capital over somewhere like Queenstown when planning a weekend away.

The Capital is an invite only experience opens tomorrow (25 of June). Silo 6 will be showcasing a range of Wellington’s gastronomic goodies from some old haunts as well as a few newcomers.

There will be 13 stalls in The Capital with a range of craft beer, cocktails and food on offer.

The purpose of the event is to reignite Aucklanders’ love for Wellington says Rebecca Lawson from Raw, Positively Wellington Tourism’s PR agency.

The response has been great, according to Lawson. Establishments such as Logan Brown, Hawthorn Lounge and Duke Carvell’s will be sending down a few of their best people to ensure the nights are a success.

Positively Wellington Tourism has moved away from the montage style TVC that they have used in the past.

Recent efforts have seen a quirky little collaboration with the vampires of What We Do In The Shadows.

And this tongue and cheek spot for the Australian market.
