Telecom will launch its 4G network in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch on 12 November for prepaid and plan customers. The telco is offering free 4G SIMs until the end of January next year and asking customers to visit its website to pre-register for the upgrade and check whether their phone is compatible.

The Telecom Foundation (the telecommunications company's charitable arm) has bought online giving platform and is making the fundraising service entirely free.

Telecom holds around half of the total residential ISP market, but it's looking to increase that, sweeten the deal its for existing customers and get more people streaming by doubling the amount of data for all Total Home broadband packages for no extra charge (Ed: In fact, just the other day a nice Telecom rep came knocking at my door offering TRIPLE data on Total Home).
