Te paparahi, Toi Māori: The wonderful guide to Māori public art in Auckland City

A new publication that sheds light on Māori public art in Auckland City has been released. The booklet – made by the Auckland Council and published by Artweek Auckland with support from Auckland Council, ATEED and Auckland Transport – guides readers on a vast collection of Māori artworks that adorn downtown Auckland. Further, the booklet – Te Paparahi, Toi Māori – weaves important stories of Māori heritage into popular city spaces. We chat to Māori design specialist at the Auckland Council, Olivia Haddon, about the recent publication and the importance of promoting indigenous urbanism.
