Planning to undertake a full-time master's or doctorate degree? You've got until December 13 to apply for the Yvonne Smith scholarship for the next generation of women leaders.
Smith set up the $50,000 scholarship (on par with Fulbright and Rhodes) in 1999 to encourage and promote women as future leaders of New Zealand business and society.
It is open to women of all ages with preference for the subject areas of political studies, economics, business and law. The scholarship can also be held in conjunction with other awards.
The scholarship is awarded to a candidate who best exemplifies potential leadership in their field as well as demonstrating potential to make a significant contribution to New Zealand.
