Ned Stark enters Labour Party leadership race

In the days following David Shearer's resignation as Labour Party leader, MPs David Cunliffe, Grant Robertson and Shane Jones have all put their hands up to take his place. But now there is a fourth contender - Lord Eddard Stark of Winterfell.

An anonymous Twitter user posing as the iconic Ned Stark from the HBO series Game of Thrones announced yesterday that he too would be running for leadership and that his enemies should be trembling in fear.

Lord Stark has been interacting directly with the three Labour Party MPs and various political commentators on what skills he would bring to the position.

It is uncertain whether or not he has the support of his constituents, but he has made it abundantly clear that he is willing to take the leadership by force if need be.
