Experts gather to discuss how to design a more liveable Auckland

A panel of experts will gather in Auckland to discuss how to design a liveable and more sustainable city.

The panel, which will take place at The Cloud on 17 October, is part of the Sustainable City Showcase, which will have its Auckland Design Day that Thursday.

Our Auckland is the name of the panel where experts will share information, collaborate and brainstorm ideas to create a picture of what a sustainable Auckland city could look like, with the help of smart design and urban planning.

There will be three panel discussions featuring experts on place-making, activating public spaces, community development, green buildings and sustainable housing.

The group will look at world class examples of how we can design urban landscapes, communities and public spaces in Auckland’s unique geographic setting. Topics will include how we can build affordable, sustainable healthy homes, the future of green buildings and a discussion of new initiatives happening in Auckland.

If you are interested in what a more sustainable Auckland would look like, head to The Cloud on 17 October between 12:00 and 4:30pm.
