John Elkington to headline SBN's 'Tranforming Business' Conference
Sustainable development guru John Elkington will be bringing his transformative business ideas to New Zealand as the keynote speaker at the Sustainable Business Network's 'Transforming Business' Conference in Wellington this September.

Global corporate social responsibility and sustainable development authority John Elkington will be the keynote speaker at the Sustainable Business Network’s (SBN) ‘Transforming Business’ Conference in Wellington this September.

Elkington, co-founder and executive chair of Volans, is regularly listed among the top 100 Global Sustainability leaders and considered a “true green business guru”.

The ‘Transforming Business’ Conference will focus on the identification of practical solutions to help businesses break through ‘change as usual’ and allow delegates to participate in interactive discussions around the four transformation areas aligned with the SBN’s new strategy: renewables, restorative, mega efficiency and community.

“Business leaders are exploring how they can change the rules, and are asking how business can create a healthy, fair and affordable world for everyone. Business can be a very effective force for this change: progress can be achieved by ventures which change the market within which they operate,” says Elkington.

Elkington will team up with Kiwis Rebecca Mills of The B Team, and business journalist Rod Oram to explore issues and develop practical solutions to improve businesses and move towards a sustainable future.
