Kiwis' epic 'skateventure' captured in documentary

Three Kiwis who longboarded an unbelievable 2500km between Peru and Chile in a bid to promote sustainable travel have released a documentary highlighting their epic 'skateventure'.

Alan Carnaby, Troy Bilbrough and Guy Parsons' unique experience, which was featured by Idealog earlier this year, saw them spend five weeks skating down remote roads and passing iconic landmarks such as Machu Pichhu and the Andes.

The doco captures the beautiful yet unforgiving landscape through which they skated, and the highs and lows of travelling unsupported in South America (including Carnaby being attacked by a pack of wild dogs!).

Idealog has been covering the most interesting people, businesses and issues from the fields of innovation, design, technology and urban development for over 12 years. And we're asking for your support so we can keep telling those stories, inspire more entrepreneurs to start their own businesses and keep pushing New Zealand forward. Give over $5 a month and you will not only be supporting New Zealand innovation, but you’ll also receive a print subscription and a copy of the new book by David Downs and Dr. Michelle Dickinson, No. 8 Recharged (while stocks last).
