Got some Monopoly game money lying around? Until midnight tonight, McDonald's is accepting cash from the board game bank in return for a small frozen coke.
The Monopoly Millionaire initiative, which runs until February 4, will see $5 million worth of prizes given away, from holidays to McDonald’s menu items and even a car.
"It’s now a good thing to play with your food,” says McDonald’s New Zealand director of marketing, Chris Brown.
Customers will receive a game ticket on selected food items and will need to peel and reveal to see if they’ve won a prize.
Note, though, that no change will be given.
And don't forget to vote for your favourite Monopoly token before February 5; one of the playing pieces must go.
