DraftFCB's What's My Number power switching campaign is one of the biggest success stories of recent years, and now it's paved the way for a new tool for SMEs looking to cut power costs by changing electricity providers.
It was developed by the Electricity Authority in partnership with Switchme and in a six-week trial period, 35 percent of businesses switched providers, with individual savings as much as $28,000 a year.
The new service involves a basic tender service, where electricity retailers provide quotes and the selected provider manages the switch within three or four days.
