VnC Cocktails to be sold

VnC Cocktails, an Auckland company born in the wake of vodka brand 42 Below's sale to Bacardi, could soon be sold to New York's Panache Beverages.

BusinessDesk reports Panache is in talks to buy VnC Cocktails, whose ready-to-drink natural fruit cocktails (vodka or tequila) are sold in 30 countries.

VnC Cocktails was established in August 2007 by Shane McKillen, one of the founding shareholders of 42 Below.

Bacardi bought 42 Below in 2006 for $138 million.

As the story goes, McKillen created VnC Cocktails after finding himself constantly stuck in the kitchen at parties mixing cocktails rather than socialising.
