Switchme.co.nz is expanding its services to SMEs this winter in association with the award-winning Electricity Authority's What's My Number campaign (which picked up five prizes at CAANZ last week).
That means businesses will be able to compare and change energy providers online, using its new RFP tendering tool.
"The cost of energy is often overlooked by SMEs, but there are significant savings available. Our investigations show that some SMEs can save 40 percent on their energy bill, simply by switching providers or switching plan types," said Scott O'Donnell, Switchme marketing manager.
Switchme also has a switching tool for residential customers, which has been running since December 2009.
It claims to have saved New Zealand households over $1.5 million.
