More than 20 chief executives from New Zealand primary sector organisations are heading to a bootcamp at Stanford University campus in Silicon Valley this August. Bosses from top and emerging organisations representing dairy, beef, sheep, seafood, viticulture and horticulture will come together for a week at the research institution to work on collaboration and aligning resources. The private sector-led forum is supported by the Agriculture and Marketing Research and Development Trust (AGMARDT), the Ministry of Science and Innovation, the Ministry for Primary Industries, and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. AGMARDT chairman Jeff Grant said: "The willingness by senior industry leaders to be involved in the boot camp to discuss and explore strategies for greater collaboration and alignment across a wide range of primary industries is extremely encouraging."
