Awards star Welly offerings from cradle to grave

A gelato maker, antifungal skincare and sustainable casket manufacturer – these are just some of the many and varied finalists in this year's Wellington Gold Awards.

The awards have been touting the region's best businesses since 1999.This year's 38 finalists, providing services and products from the cradle to the grave, were announced last night by Wellington mayor Celia-Wade Brown

Other finalists included homegrown success story Xero; children's social networking site MiniMonos, ticketing startup Dash Tickets and of course apps aplenty.
