ExportNZ is stepping up its focus on growing opportunities in Korea, teaming up with the Korea New Zealand Business Council (KNZBC).
ExportNZ executive director Catherine Beard says the agreement will create an alliance based on making the most of trading with the fourth-biggest economy in Asia.
The organisations will work together to offer services and activities to members.
"In effect, KNZBC will be our specialist unit serving the Korean market."
KNZBC executive director Fergus McLean said Korea offered no shortage of opportunities for New Zealand businesses.
"Korea is probably the most IT-connected market in the world, and offers exciting possibilities for our exporters of value-added goods and services."
However, according to Beard: "With its unique culture and perceptions, Korea can be a tough market to crack."
