How to avoid burnout and play to your strengths

For small business owners, it's all too easy to get caught up in the day-to-day operations. Downtime? Ha. Holidays? Only for the kids.

But burnout is an equally real possibility, and that's why coaching company Mind Warriors launched the free Self Speaker series in May.

Its fourth installment, Self & SME: Planting the Seeds to Success, features a lineup of speakers who've made it to the other end and lived to tell the tale. Hosted by media personality Evie Ashton, the panel will address topics including learning to play to your strengths, compensate for weaknesses and look after number one.

The list:
• Jef Kay (Founder of George FM)
• Malcolm Rands (Founder and CEO of Ecostore)
• Seeby Woodhouse (Founder of Orcon Internet and Green Carbon Ltd)
• Liz Wotherspoon (ICE Bridge and ICE Network Director for The ICEHOUSE)

What: Self & SME: Planting the seeds to success

When: August 3, 6-8pm

Where: Westpac Building, Level 9, 16 Takutai Square, Britomart
