Celsias is live

Our new eco-web effort goes live

Celsias New Zealand magazine

What if there was a place to share all your sustainability actions and ideas? And what if people could spread the news, share your enthusiasm and suggest ways to improve?

You'd call it the Facebook for sustainability, right? Actually, you'd call it

Celsias New Zealand is a new product being launched HB Media, the people behind Idealog, Good and AUT Media. It's a collaboration with, the international site that has created such a strong US following.

Celsias is all about small actions being done to make big changes. By individuals, companies and organisations.

Our aim over the next few months is to grow the traffic and involvement. We've also launched Celsias New Zealand, the magazine (formerly known as EcoInovator) to be distributed in the next Idealog and also at the big Climate Change & Business Conference being held on Monday August 24.

So here's hoping! Visit the site and try four things:

  1. Visit the 'actions' page and join an action; or create one of your own.
  2. Join a discussion thread: there's plenty being discussed and shared. Go on, you know you want to say something!
  3. Load your company and projects. it's a great way to build profile for your sustainability initiatives

Oh, and it's all free, thanks to our sponsors: BMW, Resene, Image Centre, Spicers paper, CarbonZero, Moxie and HB Media

So, please, check it out and get involved. We've got a long way to go before New Zealand can truly claim to be 100% pure!

Idealog has been covering the most interesting people, businesses and issues from the fields of innovation, design, technology and urban development for over 12 years. And we're asking for your support so we can keep telling those stories, inspire more entrepreneurs to start their own businesses and keep pushing New Zealand forward. Give over $5 a month and you will not only be supporting New Zealand innovation, but you’ll also receive a print subscription, an Idealog t-shirt and a copy of the new book by David Downs and Dr. Michelle Dickinson, No. 8 Recharged (while stocks last).
