A quick Google search of Jason Manley from Massive Black graphic studio, located Stateside, shows he’s a world leader in this field.
Today he's been leading a full-day workshop for graphic artists, who are presently sketching away in various media—digital, traditional, charcoal—and learning together from one of the world’s masters in creating compelling images for digital applications. Wellington Town Hall is quite silent, as everyone is working hard here—but the air is abuzz with energy and the creativity in the space is quite electric.
One artist, at work on his laptop and having travelled from Los Angeles to attend, is Alex Ruiz. There's a short video here of his picture from today, put together while others seated around are doing similar. It’s just one of many works that are being created in this space today.
