Okay, yes, there's some environmental justification for the work done by researchers by the University of Barcelona, who theorise about a link between pollutants emitted by factories and cars during the working week and rainy weekends.
It's unclear whether the same occurs in any other cities (hello, Auckland?) but if so, maybe we've got ourselves a good motivation for reducing pollution: sunny Saturdays and Sundays.
