Kickstarter ready for Kiwis to start building projects (like, right now)

Kickstarter has announced that is ready for Australians and New Zealanders to start building their crowdfunding projects using the platform. The official go live, however, isn't until next month, which should give people plenty of time to build their campaigns.

Back in August, the US-based crowdfunding platform put up a webpage announcing that it would be open to projects from Australia and New Zealand "in the near future".

Kiwis looking to have their projects funded via Kickstarter can now hit the "start a project" button on the website. Projects will be able to go live from November 13.

The company has put a Q+A of how everything will work on their blog and is planning a series of ANZ workshops ahead of the November date, with one already planned for Auckland

Idealog has been covering the most interesting people, businesses and issues from the fields of innovation, design, technology and urban development for over 12 years. And we're asking for your support so we can keep telling those stories, inspire more entrepreneurs to start their own businesses and keep pushing New Zealand forward. Give over $5 a month and you will not only be supporting New Zealand innovation, but you’ll also receive a print subscription, an Idealog t-shirt and a copy of the new book by David Downs and Dr. Michelle Dickinson, No. 8 Recharged (while stocks last).
