Vikings fight pirates

Those inventive Norwegians have thought of a very novel approach towards fighting content piracy – providing legitimate and affordable alternatives.

According to research from think tank Ipsos, music piracy is only a fifth of the levels it was in 2008, while TV piracy has been cut in half. At the same time new forms of streaming options such as Spotify and more recently Netflix has helped cull the numbers.

Norway is currently in the midst of rolling out new legislation that will help anti-piracy groups block infringing content at an ISP level.

Google Maps for everyone

Google demoed its new look maps at its I/O conference earlier this year. The search giant has opend it up to the general public, you can get on board by signing up on here.​
