Mile High hackathon promises cocktail of design and creativity

Mile High – "a cocktail of hacking, design and creativity" – is bringing together coders and designers in a live programming competition this month in the name of aviation.

It promises to be a winning spectator sport with six teams racing against the clock to create an air traffic control system.

The programming teams will consist of four members: three developers on programming duty and a designer to create the user interface for the final project.

So far 100 attendees have signed up with another 100 expected, and there'll be mini competitions for the audience to get involved as well.
