TradeMe retailers are being given the option to add videos to listings for the first time.
According to the NBR, the new Stores Extra feature has been taken up by The Warehouse, Hallensteins and Glassons, and will eventually be extended to smaller commercial sellers and individual members.
TradeMe Stores Extra is a "premium grade store for exceptional brands that wish to establish a strong brand presence", with current perks including promo banners, help pages and custom pages, and the ability to list 'clearance' items.
TradeMe Stores have to meet certain criteria, including being a registered company that provides a minimum 30-day warranty on sales, with at least 50 positive feedbacks and an overall rating of at least 98 percent.
TradeMe also expects to release a TradeMe Property app shortly, with a full TradeMe iPad app in the works as well.
TradeMe reported profits of $75.6 million in the 12 months ended June 30, with a 14 percent increase in sales to $142 million.
