InternetNZ and .au Domain Administration (auDA) have put out the last call for entries into the 2012 Australia and New Zealand Internet Awards, which close on July 31.
This year, entries are invited in six categories:
* Security and
* Internet access and digital skills
Winners will be announced at a gala dinner in Canberra on October 10.
The ANZIAs have recognised excellence and innovation on the part of individuals, businesses, government and not-for-profits in all sectors that strive to improve the use and accessibility of the internet since 2008.
InternetNZ chief executive Vikram Kumar says New Zealand and Australia are a hotbed of internet-related innovation, with New Zealand companies more than able to keep up with the best in producing sophisticated applications.
Last year, a number of New Zealand organisations were recognised, including Aura RedEye Security, DTS Limited, Victoria University of Wellington (NZSL Online), Beek.co, the Department of Internal Affairs and Paperkut Paperless Receipts.
