Vodafone has stolen the lead in DSL browsing speed, marking a turnaround in fortune from slowest provider in the country to the fastest.
Broadband monitoring company Truenet showed Vodafone topped the charts followed by Slingshot, Orcon and Telecom, with all four ISPs taking between 0.4 and 0.5 seconds to download a test page.
The best performer overall remains TelstraClear's cable service.
TelstraClear ADSL slipped back on average due to its probes slowing down during the first week of December but performing normally for the remainder of the month.
Telecom slipped to fourth this month, and bringing up the rear were TelstraClear, WorldXChange and Snap, the latter with load times of more than two seconds.
