A Kiwi web application has hit the big time, with one of the most widely read CMS blogs naming Contegro as a new entrant on its Top 30 content management systems list.
The latest CMS Report Top 30 included just 10 new applications, and Contegro is one of only two Kiwi products to ever appear on the list – the other being Wellington-based Silverstripe.
Contegro founder Vaughan Reed is, naturally, stoked to have made the list.
“CMS Report is a hugely popular website, and our appearance on the top 30 list will give us greater exposure overseas and help with our focus on growing our partner base in the US market," he said.
CMS Report editor Bryan Ruby said that in order to be chosen, a company has to show it’s raising the bar.
“It has to add something I haven’t seen in a CMS before,” he said.
“It isn’t easy to make the list.”
He estimates that there are nearly 1,700 applications in the CMS market.
