A loveable rogue by any name: Rogue Society rebrands to to Scapegrace

A new campaign by Rogue Society Gin declares they have ‘made a name for themselves’ and the New Zealand company doesn’t just mean figuratively. After an international scuffle with an American brewing company that had a beer called 'Rogue', the company has rebranded to be Scapegrace Dry Gin to better promote its product overseas.

Invercargill is well known for its wide 'Parisian' boulevards, infamous mayor, the world’s Southern-most McDonalds (we think), an abundance of oysters and cheese rolls, as well as the highest incidence of R-rolling in the country. However, the city hasn't ever established a lasting brand identity, and locals decided the time had come to figure out what the town stood for. Designer Tim Christie talks us through the Invercargill brand’s new “stoic” look and feel.

The internal and external brand. Google it and you’ll be told everything and more about whether these should be the same, different or something in between. It'll will depend on the nature of the business you are in, and the culture and the size of your company whether these two are exactly the same, completely separate or even exist at all.
