Absolute Vodka's new seasonal limited edition has four million individual designs. Only 5,000 of them are available in New Zealand.
The four million one-of-a-kind bottles were made with a drop of cobalt blue infused into the molten glass during production. Releasing the drop of cobalt blue takes one millisecond and is done just as the molten glass goes into the mould at 1100 degrees celsius. The cobalt is invisible at that temperature but the blue infusion appears as the glass cools down.
"Absolut Originality presents the iconic Absolut bottle in its most classy form to date," says Kathryn Love, marketing manager for Absolut in New Zealand. "The inspiration was taken from traditional Swedish glass craft, and made available to the world. From the very first bottle it looked amazing, and what started as a playful experiment ended up as four million one-of-a-kind pieces of art."
The bottles are available in leading liquor outlets throughout the country for $55.99 while stocks last.
