Wondering how to make your home more sustainable? How your house might fare in an earthquake? This weekend HIVE Christchurch celebrates its first year and is holding a free event with all homes open for viewing, and experts on-hand to answer your rebuild questions.
HIVE was facilitated by PrefabNZ and opened in 2012 in direct response to the Canterbury earthquakes and the need for high-quality permanent buildings.
There are now nine completed buildings on display, each showing a range of architect-designed, sustainable and rapidly delivered home options. All dwellings were made using the latest prefabricated techniques. More info here.
When: April 6-7
Where: Canterbury Agricultural Park
